About Personality & Self

This group circles the question of who you are: gender role, mental age, identity, confidence and self-esteem, procrastination and self-discipline. Some of it rests on theory, such as Bem's BSRI, which sorts people into masculine, feminine, androgynous and undifferentiated and breaks the assumption that men are hard and women are soft. Some is closer to popular psychology.

Watch the gap between the self you want and the self you are. In procrastination tests, for instance, many people answer for how they would like to behave rather than how they do. If the two sets of answers diverge, that gap is the most informative part of the result.
