About Standard Scales
Standardised scales are the most rigorous corner of testing: fixed items, fixed scoring, norms to compare against, which is what lets one person's score sit next to another's. The group here includes depression, anxiety, stress, sleep, love attitude and wellbeing instruments, several of them in clinical and research use for decades.
That comparability is also the limit. A scale says where you sit against most people, not why. Answer for the last week or two as it actually was, not for the best version of yourself, or the score drifts. A high score is not an illness; a doctor needs an interview to judge.
