About Children & Teens
Most child and adolescent tests here are filled in by parents or teachers, and some are projective tools a child completes while playing. Children cannot report on themselves reliably, and asking what is wrong lately usually yields nothing, so the field relies on structured observation and picture stories.
The library covers developmental screening for ages 0 to 6 (Denver DDST), behaviour questionnaires (Rutter), apperception tools such as the CAT, localised developmental scales, and adolescent mood and study stress. Screening exists to find problems early and refer them onward. Any flagged result should go to a paediatrician or child psychologist rather than be retested at home.
