Core Needs Decoding | Find the Driving Force Deep in Your Soul

I. Why Explore 'Core Needs'?

Very often, our anxiety comes from a mismatch between 'wanting too much' and 'what we truly need'. Core needs are the underlying operating system behind your behavior: some people strive for a sense of safety, some take risks for a sense of control, and others compromise for a sense of connection.

Identifying your most urgent current psychological need can help free you from blind internal friction and direct your limited energy toward the things that bring you the most satisfaction.

II. The Four Analysis Dimensions of This Test

[Image of Maslow's hierarchy of needs]
  • Survival and Order (Safety & Order): the basic need for material security, environmental stability and control over life.
  • Emotion and Connection (Relatedness): the desire for intimate relationships, social belonging, and being understood and accepted.
  • Competence and Esteem (Competence & Esteem): the pursuit of proving personal ability, social status and a sense of achievement.
  • Autonomy and Growth (Autonomy & Growth): the inner drive for free will, self-actualization and the exploration of the meaning of life.

III. Assessment Notes

This assessment has 12 scenario-based questions in total. Please do not choose according to 'the correct values', but answer according to your first-reaction 'degree of desire' or 'sense of lack'. There is no good or bad in the results; they only represent your current psychological state.
