Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFI-108) | The Essence of Thinking That Cuts Through Background
I. What Is a 'Culture Fair' Intelligence Test?
Traditional intelligence tests often contain a large amount of vocabulary comprehension, general knowledge questions, or arithmetic problems, which gives an advantage to people with higher education or a specific cultural background. The Culture Fair Intelligence Testaims to strip away the interference of language, cultural accumulation, and educational opportunity.
It assesses an individual's most fundamental 'fluid intelligence' through pure figure logic, spatial relationships, and pattern recognition.
II. Core Indicator: Fluid Intelligence
Psychologist Cattell divided intelligence into two categories:
- Fluid intelligence:Refers to the ability to solve novel problems without relying on experience, such as perceiving relationships and analogical reasoning. It peaks in adolescence and then slowly declines with age.
- Crystallized intelligence:Refers to knowledge acquired through learning and accumulated experience, such as vocabulary and general knowledge. It continues to grow with age.
This test focuses on probing the ceiling of your fluid intelligence.
III. The Four Thinking Dimensions of the Assessment
IV. Who Is Suitable for This Test?
- Explorers who wish to understand their pure logical potential.
- People in career transition who need to assess cross-disciplinary learning ability.
- Psychology enthusiasts who want to compare their 'innate talent' with 'acquired experience'.
