Love Script Projection | How Will Your Next Relationship Unfold and Evolve?

I. Theoretical Basis: Love Scripts and Relationship Scripts

The concept of the 'love script' comes from social psychologist Robert Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love and Eric Berne's script analysis theory. Sternberg believed that perfect love consists of three elements - intimacy, passion, and commitment - and that people's different emphasis on these three forms a unique 'love script'. Berne further pointed out that each of us unconsciously writes a 'life script' from childhood and past experiences, one that includes how we meet, fall in love, handle conflict, and even end relationships.

This test combines Attachment Theory (John Bowlby) and the relationship development model (Mark Knapp), to help you project the meeting scenario, development pace , communication pattern and likely outcome type. This is not fatalism, but an act of self-awareness - only by understanding your own 'love script' can you rewrite it.

II. The Four Projection Dimensions

This test is designed around the following four dimensions, with 12 questions, 3 questions per dimension:

  • Meeting Attraction: In what scenarios and in what ways are you more likely to attract a potential partner? A fiery clash, or a slow, steady flow?
  • Pacing Preference: Do you like to move a relationship forward quickly, or take your time getting to know someone? How do you define the 'right pace'?
  • Conflict Response: When disagreements arise, what is your instinctive reaction? This determines the resilience of the relationship.
  • Outcome Tendency: In your script, is a relationship more likely to move toward symbiosis, growth, flatness, or separation?

III. Test Process and Scoring

Each question offers 5 options, scored 1-5 from 'strongly disagree' to 'strongly agree'. After you finish the test, the system will use your scores across the four dimensions to generate a personalized 'love script projection report', including:

  • Your core love script type (5 in total)
  • The most likely meeting scenario and development pace of your next relationship
  • Your relationship strengths and potential risk points
  • Actionable behavioral advice to help you actively rewrite your script

IV. Who This Test Is For

This test is suitable for:

  • People who want to understand their own emotional patterns and prepare for their next relationship
  • People who have been through similar relationship struggles and want to break the cycle
  • People interested in the psychology of love who want a deeper understanding of their attachment style and relationship preferences
  • People in a partner-selection phase or between relationships who want to clearly define their own needs

V. Important Notes

The results are based on your self-report and statistical models, intended to offer a perspective for self-awareness rather than an absolute prediction. Your true love script is always in your own hands - awareness is where change begins.
