Straight-Man Level Test Notes
1. Test Concept and Background
This test is based on gender schema theory and social cognitive theory in psychology, exploring gender-related traits in a person's thinking patterns, communication styles, and aesthetic preferences. The so-called 'straight-man traits' are not a value judgment, but refer to a thinking style that leans pragmatic, logic-oriented, and directly expressive.
Research shows that everyone's thinking pattern lies on a continuum and is shaped by a combination of socialization, personal experience, and cognitive preferences. This test can help you understand your own thinking characteristics more clearly and understand your unique way of interacting with others.
2. Test Dimensions and Structure
This test contains 15 situational multiple-choice questions and assesses your thinking traits across the following five core dimensions:
- Communication and Expression Dimension: assesses your expressive style in interpersonal communication - direct and candid, or tactful and reserved (items 2, 6, 8, 11, 15)
- Aesthetic Perception Dimension: measures your sensitivity to beauty, atmosphere, and detail (items 1, 3, 7, 10, 12)
- Decision Logic Dimension: reflects whether you rely more on practical reason or emotional experience when making choices (items 3, 5, 7, 10, 14)
- Emotional Processing Dimension: understands how you cope with emotional issues (items 4, 6, 11, 13)
- Relationship Perception Dimension: explores your behavioral patterns and expectations in relationships (items 2, 5, 9, 13, 14)
The options in each item have no absolute right or wrong; different choices merely reflect your natural tendency in that situation.
3. Scoring Method
Scoring rules:Each item's option is scored from 1 to 4, with a total range of 15-60

5. Important Notes
1. This test is an entertaining psychological assessment, not a scientific diagnostic tool, and the results are for entertainment and reference only.
2. Thinking traits have no good or bad; each style has its unique value and situations where it applies.
3. A person's thinking pattern is malleable and can be adjusted and developed through conscious practice and reflection.
4. The test results do not represent your entire personality and should not become a label that limits you.
