About the SM Tendency Test (SM Tendency Test)

I. Origins and Core Concept

The SM tendency test is a fun psychological assessment tool whose core is exploring your potential psychological tendencies across dimensions like desire for control, degree of submission, stimulation preference, emotional reactions, and intimacy patterns. This test is not a professional diagnostic tool; all results are for fun self-exploration reference only and do not constitute real-life behavior advice.

Built on 15 scenario-based questions spanning dimensions like self-perception, social expression, intimate interaction, physical boundaries, and emotional tension, and scored on a 5-point scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree), it comprehensively assesses your tendency type, helping you better understand your psychological traits and behavior patterns.

II. Analysis of the 3 Core Tendency Types

🎯 Dominant Type (S-Type): a strong desire for control, a clear sense of boundaries, good at expressing needs, tending to take the initiative in interactions
🌱 Submissive Type (M-Type): highly accommodating, attentive to others' feelings, relatively reserved in expression, more willing to go along with the other person in interactions
⚖️ Balanced Type (Neutral): highly flexible, adjusting your state to the situation - neither deliberately dominating nor passively submitting

III. Test Principles and Scoring Logic

The test follows the core logic of 'scenario projection → trait extraction → tendency matching'. Each question maps to the core traits of a specific tendency dimension and is scored on a 5-point scale, with a total range of 15-75 points:

  • 15-35 points: leaning Submissive (M-Type); the lower the score, the more pronounced the tendency
  • 36-54 points: Balanced (Neutral), showing different traits in different situations
  • 55-75 points: leaning Dominant (S-Type); the higher the score, the more pronounced the tendency

For a more precise reflection of tendency level, all scores are converted to a 100-point scale and, combined with the distribution across dimensions, a more comprehensive tendency analysis is given. No tendency type is better or worse; all are normal expressions of personality traits.

IV. Use Cases and Value

🔹 Self-Knowledge Exploration

Understand your natural state in intimate relationships and social interaction, and the underlying psychological logic of your behavior patterns.

🔹 Relationship Optimization

V. Test Notes

  • Answer based on your true inner feelings; no need to cater to social expectations - your first reaction best reflects your real traits
  • The test takes about 3-5 minutes; complete it in a relaxed state, avoiding outside distractions
  • The results are for entertainment reference only and do not constitute any professional psychological diagnosis or behavior advice
