Introduction to the DISC Behavior Style Test
1. Test Origin and Core Concept
The DISC behavior style test was proposed by the American psychologist William Moulton Marston and is based on the "language of human behavior" theory — dividing people's behavior patterns into four major types: Dominance (D), Influence (I), Steadiness (S), and Conscientiousness (C). Through 40 professional questions, it precisely identifies your core behavioral style across four dimensions—decision-making, communication style, behavioral preference, and emotional response—to optimize workplace communication efficiency and team collaboration.
This test is based on the classic DISC theoretical framework, optimized for contemporary workplace collaboration scenarios. Each question corresponds to the core traits of a specific behavioral style, and a 5-point scale (from 1-Strongly disagree to 5-Strongly agree) precisely locates your dominant behavioral style, helping you understand your own behavior pattern, communication preference, and job fit, and achieving a dual improvement in workplace collaboration efficiency and personal development.
2. Analysis of the 4 Core Behavioral Styles
3. Test Principle and Scoring Logic
The test uses the core logic of "behavioral trait projection → style matching → workplace fit". Each question corresponds to the core traits of a specific behavioral style, and a 5-point scale calculates the total score of each of the 4 behavioral styles:
- Dominance (D): 10 questions, focusing on core traits such as goal orientation, decisive decision-making, and readiness to take on challenges
- Influence (I): 10 questions, focusing on core traits such as social expression, charisma, and pursuing recognition
- Steadiness (S): 10 questions, focusing on core traits such as gentleness and patience, stable collaboration, and being good at listening
- Conscientiousness (C): 10 questions, focusing on core traits such as rigor and meticulousness, logical thinking, and precise execution
All behavioral style scores use a full score of 50 (5 points per question). The dimension with the highest score is the core behavioral style; if two scores are tied, it is a combined type (such as D-I or S-C). >=80% is the core style (strong match), 60%-79% is the secondary style (adaptable extension), and 40%-59% is the potential style (developable), providing a precise reference for workplace role selection and collaboration optimization.
4. Applicable Scenarios and Value
🔹 Workplace communication optimization
Clarify your own communication style and adjust the way you communicate with colleagues of different behavioral styles — for example, when communicating with a Conscientiousness type, focus on data and logic, and when communicating with a Steadiness type, focus on emotional resonance.
🔹 Team collaboration improvement
Understand team members' behavioral styles and allocate work reasonably — for example, Dominance handles tough decisions, Influence handles external communication, Steadiness handles process implementation, and Conscientiousness handles quality control.
🔹 Management style adjustment
Optimize your management approach based on subordinates' behavioral styles — for example, authorize decisions for Dominance subordinates, give public recognition to Influence subordinates, provide a stable environment for Steadiness subordinates, and clarify standards for Conscientiousness subordinates.
🔹 Career development planning
Plan your career growth path based on your behavioral style — for example, Dominance can develop toward management, Influence can go deeper into marketing, Steadiness can develop toward operations, and Conscientiousness can advance toward professional technical fields.
5. Test Notes
- Answer according to your real work behavior pattern, without considering an "ideal state" or "others' expectations"; the authenticity of your behavior directly determines the accuracy of the result
- The test takes about 5-8 minutes. It is recommended to complete it independently in a quiet environment to avoid external interference affecting your judgment
- The 4 behavioral styles have no good or bad; most people have 1 core style + 1 secondary style, and the combination better reflects the complete behavior pattern
- The result is a core reference for career development; practical application should combine factors such as ability, experience, and industry characteristics
