Relationship Loyalty Test | Assess Your Foundation of Trust and Relationship Security

I. What Is Relationship Loyalty?

Relationship loyalty does not merely mean 'not betraying'; it is a sense of responsibility to proactively maintain boundaries in an intimate relationship, the degree to which you cherish commitments, and the tendency to still choose 'we' rather than 'I' amid temptation, conflict, or boredom. It is a product of trust, and also its source.

A high-loyalty relationship usually has the following characteristics:

  • Both sides have similar expectations and definitions of the relationship
  • They can talk openly about boundaries and discomfort
  • In social situations, they naturally consider their partner's feelings
  • Even when brief disappointment arises, they do not easily question the foundation of the relationship

II. Why Pay Attention to Loyalty?

Many relationships break down not because of a particular 'substantive betrayal', but because of a long-term loss of security: one side thinks 'we are fine', while the other is accumulating disappointment. This test is not meant to judge or label, but to help you become aware of:

  • Whether your understandings of 'loyalty' are consistent
  • Whether there are unaddressed boundary risks in the relationship
  • How strong is your ability to repair when trust is challenged

III. The Five Core Dimensions of the Test

This test starts from five psychological dimensions closely related to loyalty, with 25 questions in total:

  • Boundary Awareness: Whether you can naturally maintain relationship boundaries in social situations, rather than deliberately 'reporting in'.
  • Weight of Commitment: How serious a commitment is in your mind, and how guilty you feel when you break it.
  • Trust Tendency: Whether you tend to trust the other person first, or habitually doubt.
  • Jealousy and Possessiveness: Whether your sense of insecurity easily turns into control or suspicion.
  • Willingness to Repair: After conflict or disappointment, whether you are willing to proactively draw closer, or habitually grow distant.

IV. Target Audience and Scoring Instructions

Suitable for people in a stable intimate relationship (dating, engaged, or married), and also for those who want to understand their own attachment pattern.

Each question is worth 1-5 points; 1 means 'does not fit at all / never like this', and 5 means 'fits very well / always like this'. Some items are reverse-scored (the score is already implied in the options). After completing it, you will receive your composite loyalty type, dimension score analysis, and relationship growth advice.
